Visitors on that day will throw dice to decide the exhibition for that day.
This KURA exhibition “TATSUO MIYAJIMA” is a collaboration with contemporary artist Tatsuo Miyajima, who is known for his works that use digital numbers as a motif.
Mr Miyajima's representative work is an LED digital counter, but this time he adopted an analog method and expressed “time” with digital numbers.
Plane parts covered with textiles are prepared at the venue. The brand “A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE,” which debuted this spring, is using this fabric in a new project with Mr Miyajima. Numbers from 0 to 9 are randomly woven, and the pattern is different for each part.
Every day, one visitor rolls a 10-sided dice and hangs parts on the wall according to the number that comes out, and the number that implies “time.” It is the completion of the work of the day.
Also, at the venue, Mr Miyajima's interview video will be exhibited. Please enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime encounter between Miyajima's performative works and “A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE,” which pursues new possibilities in clothing through communication between creators and recipients.
