HaaT “HANMOU and BHILL”

The CREATION SPACE at ISSEY MIYAKE SEMBA presents a special installation “HANMOU AND BHILL” from HaaT.

Hanmou (recycled wool) originated in Bishu, a production area for wool textiles. The wisdom of reusing fibres has taken root in the people’s daily lives. Bhill, a traditional Indian technique, is used to mend and strengthen fabrics with intricate embroidery, while adding colour and fun to everyday life. Created from the natural landscape, the technique is featured in HaaT’s textiles and designs.
